What is Accessibility?
Web accessibility means that the website and its contents are accessible to the largest possible number of users regardless of what browsing technology they are using or any disability they might have.
Browsing technology denotes hardware, browser, Internet connection speed, peripherals, settings of browser or equipment, ambient conditions, etc. Disability refers to sight, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments.

Aid to navigation
- Variable font size
- In designing the pages of this website, we used relative units, e.g. for text size. Pages display correctly at any resolution and user will be able to change the text size if this function is available to them.
- Site Map
- An index of this website pages is available to users through the site map.
- Navigation Bar
- User will know at all times, which section/sub-section they are in thanks to the navigation bar situated at the top of each page.
- Keyboard Access
- Direct access keys facilitate browsing and access to contents. For using these shortcuts, user has to strike the following key combinations according to the operative system used:
- Internet Explorer 4.0, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox:
- ALT + direct access key on keyboard
- Internet Explorer 5 and higher versions:
- ALT + direct access key on keyboard + ENTER
- Ópera:
- Shiftkey + Esc (to active rapid access keys)

- Go to Contents
- Users of text browsers or voice (text-to-speech) browsers can go direct to the navigation menu and contents of each page by means of the 'Go to main menu' and 'Go to contents' links provided for this purpose at the beginning of each page on this website or alternatively by using the access keys 0 and 9 respectively.
- Images
- Complex images include the longdesc attribute or an on-line description that explains in detail the image content. Because not all browsers interact correctly with the longdesc tag, we provide direct links to the long descriptions of images using a [d] link.
- Link Types (NoFollow Links)
- As an aid to navigation in text browsers and screen readers, we have implemented special links. Browsers like Netscape 6, Opera 7 or the family of Mozilla-based browsers have an auxiliary navigation bar that permits using those links:
- index: Link to home page.
- contents: Link to site map.
- help: Link to Accessibility Statement.
- copyright: Link to Legal Notice.
- up: Go to top of page.
- start: Go to first document.
- next: Go to next document.
- prev: Go back to previous document.
